Branding Change
The Obihai OBi302 units have been rebranded to Poly but are otherwise identical and have the same 2FXS (telephone) 1LAN 1WAN 1USB configuration. The unit we ship to you may have different
branding and colouring than pictured here. Poly's new part number for the OBi302 is 2200-49532-001 and they call it a
Universal Voice Adapter.
What can an OBi do?
These devices enable regular POTS
"plain old telephone service" phones to work with Internet telephony services.
Please do your
research before buying to ensure you understand what this device can and cannot
do. The OBiTALK Forum is an excellent resource
to ask questions and seek guidance from the community.
Prefer something that's completely plug and play?
AcroVoice provides plug and play VoIP
telephone service that can fully replace a
traditional landline without sacrificing any calling features. The cost may
be higher than using an OBi with a low cost "do it yourself" service provider,
however no learning curve is necessary and an OBi will be delivered completely
pre-programmed and ready to use right out of the box.
If you have previously used a Sipura SPA-2000, Linksys SPA2102 or PAP2T, consider Obihai
an excellent replacement option. These devices easily outperform Linksys and Cisco ATAs in voice
quality, DTMF recognition, and echo elimination.
