What is VoIP?
Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) technology allows you to make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. VoIP converts the voice signal from your telephone into a digital signal that travels over the internet then converts it back at the other end so you can speak to anyone with a regular phone number.
- How do I transfer my current phone number to AcroVoice VoIP Phone Service?
When placing your order online please let us know in the Additional Comments that you'd like to
keep your current phone number. There is no extra charge if this is done when your account is
first created. The process may take up to three weeks once we receive the completed Letter
of Authorization from you.
In the meantime, we can either provide you with a temporary number or wait until your current
phone number has been transferred before activating your service.
- Take Your Number Everywhere You Go
AcroVoice works with any touch-tone phone, corded or cordless. When placing a VoIP call using a phone with an adapter, you'll hear a dial tone and dial just as you always have. Call any phone number anywhere anytime.
